I am really anxious to see Ore Ore now. I want to see how he has taken out “Kamenashi” from the roles he is playing. Not to mention the fact that he is playing so many roles. Almost 20 hours a day filming. Poor thing is going to keel over from exhaustion if he keeps up this crazy work pace. Please sleep Kame, we like having you fully functional and healthy.

This column makes me want to rewatch all of Kame’s dramas and watch for what aspects of the characters have “Kamenashi” in them. Will the knowledge that he has injected a little bit of Kame into each role change the way I view the performance?

Thinking about what he said in relation to an acting class I took in college I’m not sure I like that perspective on acting. The character is a separate person from you. I understand taking different experiences in your life to help you feel the emotions the character might be feeling at a certain instance but putting you into the character for the sake of having you in the character is kind of off putting to me. This really helps me understand why I would be taken out of the performance every so often noticing something Kame-like.

People can be so hard to please, really. I really have no problem with Kame making faces or him not wearing the sunglasses. And really, it’s a new tour let the man try new things. He’s human so he doesn’t have to be 100% cool 100% of the time.

I really appreciate the way he tries to accommodate his fans and make them all happy. But sometimes I think it gets in the way of him doing a great job rather than a good job.

Thanks for the translation.
