UEDA

Q1 Christmas is the most important event of the year.
NO. It isn't correct to say that it's the most important. More than the birthday of someone who I've never met, is it not important to celebrate my birthday or my friends' ones? I simply like the atmosphere. The merry feeling of the decorations in the sparkling city is exciting.
Q2 You have a spot  that will surely make your girlfriend happy at Christmas
NO. You generally don't know what would make the other 100% happy ! (laughs) Who knows, what about a famous amusement park and a full-service reservation at a hotel... Amusement park → Hotel 1 night → again amusement park. Spending 2 straight days  in the land of the dreams, is this bad?
Q3 A Christmas present is about “love” more than a “thing”.
YES. But as a result, a present makes you feel relieved (laughs).  Because you love, you have the will to give a present. By the way, I often receive everyday things as presents, like pants or socks...
Q4 It is fine to spend Christmas with your family too.
NO. A 27-year-old single man that lives alone goes back to his family’s home because it's christmas? Not at all!(laughs) Since in Japan this is what occurs “Christmas=spend time with a special person”, sooner or later, if I will be able to do it...
Q5 At Christmas, it is better to eat handmade dinner than go out for dinner.
YES. I often call my friends over to my home and do a party, you know. I like it when we do things like cook all together. If it's Christmas time, I want to bake a cake and roast chicken. I've got a takoyaki machine and a frier to deep fry, so I'll end up using those too, maybe.
Q6 Even without your girlfriend, Christmas would become a fun event.
NO. I think that the Christmas feeling appears because your partner is there. I've already said it, but isn't Christmas the day you spend with a special person? If she isn't there, it will end to be a simple day to make some noise. It doesn't change much from Halloween.
Q7 You have a sad memory about Christmas.
YES. 10 years ago, I had a Christmas date with a girl I was close to, but at that time, I didn't know about restaurant reservations, so I went without appointment to a restaurant. Suddenly, we were refused because we didn't have a reservation. We searched for 3 hours, but at the end we couldn't enter anywhere...
Q8 You think Christmas day is a good chance to confess.
NO. Why do such a risky thing...? On that day, if there's the chance that she doesn't come, it's absolutely better to avoid it. I would confess around a month before in order to spend wonderful christmas together; it's better to warm the relationship [before].
Q9. If you have to spend Christmas alone, you would watch a movie.
NO. Why do such a sad thing....? If it's at least going to a cinema, looking for a girl who you can more or less be interested in, then have a pseudo-date (laughs). Well, since the partner is a friend, we would spend the time with a simple plan meal.
Q10 You think your ultimate Christmas will be after you get married.
YES. After I have a daughter, because I plan to dote upon her, it will be surely like this. I'd end up bringing her up and loving her so much to the point that she would say “I will marry papa!” and in order to avoid her becoming an egoistic princess, I want a wife that can strictly educate our children (laughs)

KAME
Q1 Christmas is the most important event of the year.
NO. There's a gorgeous atmosphere with the center of the city decorated with the illuminations, New Year's Eve and the first of the year are near too, and it's special indeed, but if we speak about importance, that's not it. To me my parents' and friends' birthday are much more important.
Q2 You have a spot  that will surely make your girlfriend happy at Christmas.
NO. Not to speak about “certain victory spots”, but I wouldn't even go out for a Christmas date. Simply resting at my house, cooking, eating at a friends' house, something like that. Outside there are many people but I don't really want to go there.
Q3 A Christmas present is about “love” more than a “thing”.
YES. Isn't because there's “Love” that you buy “something”? There aren't people who simply gives “things” without “love”, right? Indeed, at Christmas in 2009, I was shooting a drama, and I brought to the set fried chicken. That was “love” too.
Q4 It is fine to spend Christmas with your family too.
YES. If we speak about Christmas, I remember my mother and going out to buy chicken, or the sock with sweets inside that was Santa's present. That thoughtful time makes me very nostalgic.
Q5 At Christmas, it is better to eat handmade dinner than go out for dinner.
NO. Since I always cook by myself, I've got a strong image about “handmade dinner=simple dinner”. If we eat outside, choosing the restaurant has the feeling of an event, right? Since it's Christmas, maybe it would be Italian... Well, it's just because I like it.
Q6 Even without your girlfriend, Christmas would become a fun event.
YES. It's fun even just meeting with friends and enjoying our time. Being Christmas, it would surely be even more fun! Recently, I've bought at Kappabashi a bi~g oden pot of at least 50cm diameter and I want to do an oden party using this~
Q7 You have a sad memory about Christmas.
NO. A sad memory about Christmas...? I absolu~tely don’t remember one. Many of the last years I spent it on the set but I think they were fun. Well, even if there were sad things, since it's me, I'd end up enjoying those conditions too.
Q8 You think Christmas day is a good chance to confess.
YES. Isn't it good to use this opportunity for Xmas? At the end you would have the chance to become lovers. Well, the point is if you met on this day, it's impossible to be rejected!
Q9 If you have to spend Christmas alone, you would watch a movie.
YES.  It's of course OK! In my room, I’d cheerfully open a bottle of champagne with a “pon!!”, watch all the DVD series of “Home Alone”, and then sleep. Even though after finishing watching it, the little sound would wake me up. (laughs)
Q10 You think your ultimate Christmas will be after you get married.
YES. After having children, making their eyes sparkle saying “I've heard that Santa enters from the chimneytop”, even being covered with soot, I'd do my best. If it's an event for my dear ones, it's obvious!

MARU

Q1 Christmas is the most important event of the year.
YES. Together with birthdays, it's the event that has most importance. I will surely decorate the house with the tree. In 2009 I decorated using twinkling LED, but to put it in order is a pain so I left them there until January 2nd. I have to decorate once again! (laughs)
Q2 You have a spot that will surely make your girlfriend happy at Christmas.
NO. In 2009 I was wandering alone around Roppongi by chance and I was caught in the jam of people who went to see the illuminations, and I couldn't move forward. I had no chance before so I thought I’d enjoy the scenery, but since it was late in the night, before arriving at the main place they switched it off.
Q3 A Christmas present is about “love” more than a “thing”.
YES. Of course expressing love with words it's ok, and I think it's important, but at the end I want to give a present too. If possible, I want to prepare 2 presents, a normal one and a surprise one. If there is something that the girl didn't expect, it would be good.
Q4 It is fine to spend Christmas with your family too.
YES. It's many years that I haven’t spent Christmas with them, but in the past we had a party reuniting the family and the relatives. I've got a memory of when I was a child, before entering  Johnny's: they tied my head with the ribbon of the cake and made me do the impression of Hikaru Genji (laughs)
Q5 At Christmas, it is better to eat handmade dinner than go out for dinner.
?.
Both of them are fine. I let the girl judge. But, since it's a special day, eating outside you can enjoy the atmosphere better, so maybe this choice? To make it become a special day. If it's like that, I will use the internet and look for one!
Q6 Even without your girlfriend, Christmas would become a fun event.
NO. Wouldn't it be sad? I mean, if she isn't there, it would be a normal day (laughs). If it's just me, I wouldn't care at all, I'd get into good shape for the the first day of the New Year.
I'd turn off the decorations in the house too (laughs)
Q7 You have a sad memory about Christmas.
YES. In the past, I asked my parents for the service where a person dressed as Santa would bring me the present.  I was nervous because we hadn't got a chimney so I was wondering from where he would have entered, and when he arrived from the hall simply ringing the bell I was disappointed (laughs)
Q8 You think Christmas day is a good chance to confess.
YES. If you invite her on Christmas and she says yes, you think a bit that maybe she will let you confess too, and will probably come; if she has a boyfriend, she won't come. If you think this way, isn't a day of chance for a man?
Q9 If you have to spend Christmas alone, you would watch a movie.
NO. I don't watch a movie. Probably I'd call a friend. I change topic, but speaking about Christmas, which day has more importance, the 24th or the 25th? I've always been confused by this. If I invite a girl, which day is better?
Q10 You think your ultimate Christmas will be after you get married.
?. I don't know! I mean, I've never been married! But, after creating a family, exactly for this reason the enjoyment seems to be different. Because it's better if there are lots of events or family's memories, right?  Marriage... ah, Higashiyama Noriyuki-san, congratulations!

KOKI
Q1 Christmas is the most important event of the year.
NO.  The so-called Christmas is the birthday of someone, right?! (laughs)  In the year, the most important birthday is mine! I don't feel so much the importance of festivities like Christmas or Halloween. By the way, I spent my birthday of 2010 playing all day long a survival game with other 2 men.
Q2 You have a spot  that will surely make your girlfriend happy at Christmas.

NO. I think that if I had a girlfriend I'd like to make her happy, but maybe I'm not good in situations where there's something to do absolutely... Since at Christmas of 2009 I went with my beloved dog Sakura to see the illuminations, I think that this year I will bring Rai too.
Q3 A Christmas present is about “love” more than a “thing”.
NO. Love is something that can't be seen by eyes, right? It would be ideal to make love visible to eyes through a present, right? But to ask directlywhat she wants is absolutely a no. I remember what she said she wants rethinking about our discussions. The result: it will be a surprise, right?
Q4 It is fine to spend Christmas with your family too.
YES. It's absolutely fine! My family relatively gathers together. It happens that I spend the day of my birthday of 3 years ago with friends and family. For the 2010 birthday, my parents came to my house, they prepared sushi for me, they did the laundry too.
Q5 At Christmas, it is better to eat handmade dinner than go out for dinner.
YES. Exactly because it's Christmas that eating outside is good, right? I'm not good at it, but maybe Italian. Some time ago when I had a party with my friends we cooked together and I cut a turkey into pieces. That was fun too.
Q6 Even without your girlfriend, Christmas would become a fun event.
YES. Honestly, there's a part of me that thinks that it is a lot more fun with friends... Hey, did you know that there's an exclusive pen that the “Japanese 'turn the pen' association”will produce?! For 2010 Christmas I'm thinking to plan a great tournament of “turn the pen” with all of my friends. I need to practice! [trN: Koki wants to do a tournament of... THIS. °_°]
Q7 You have a sad memory about Christmas.
NO. Since I don't give so much importance to Christmas from the beginning, even if my Christmas has no plans, I'm not sad at all. In fact, even in 2009 from 23rd to 25th December we had PV shooting and live broadcasts. Probably even in 2010 I'll have work. The important one is my birthday!!!
Q8 You think Christmas day is a good chance to confess.
NO. If you confess on Christmas and you are rejected, it will become the worst memory for this reason. For this reason, it's better confessing around 1 month before and have a pleasant Christmas. But since it's a day where your feelings are high, I think that a chance is a chance.
Q9 If you have to spend Christmas alone, you would watch a movie.
YES. I think it's absolutely ok. Because from the beginning I’m a person who goes to watch a movie alone. Moreover, Christmas time faces the new year, so there are lots of interesting movies. If I have to watch a DVD at home, I have to at least light some candles? (laughs)
Q10 You think your ultimate Christmas will be after you get married.
YES. I don't know if it will be the ultimate one, but if there are children it's different. To put the star decoration on the top of the Christmas Tree, embracing the baby... something like that. But I've got already 3 babies. They increased with Momo the monkey. How will I make sure they have fun in 2010?

JUNNO

Q1 Christmas is the most important event of the year.
NO. At 1st place there are birthdays, at 2nd Christmas. But I'm excited anyway. Ah, right, recently I've found the toy calendar that my parents bought for me when I was a child, when every day you push a button and a piece of chocolate comes out. I became nostalgic and I bought it.
Q2 You have a spot that will surely make your girlfriend happy at Christmas.
YES. There isn't a special place, but since I know lots of places with beautiful illuminations, if I had a girlfriend I want to carry her there. After that, since it's finally Christmas, something like going to a hotel for a dinner may be good.
Q3 A Christmas present is about “love” more than a “thing”.
NO. “Love” is something you give everyday, it's something obvious (laughs). If Christmas remains in the memory, it's thanks to “things”, maybe. Sure enough, maybe something to  put on the body is fine. Accessories like earrings or necklaces. Ah, maybe a pajama is good too?
Q4 It is fine to spend Christmas with your family too.
YES. Absolutely fine! The ideal is family and girlfriend together, something like that. When I was a child, we held a party both for Christmas and for the New Year day. Recently I haven't given presents to my mother, but I'm constantly abiding my duty as a son.
Q5 At Christmas, it is better to eat handmade dinner than go out for dinner.
NO. It's a rare event, so it's outside. Handmade cooking in reality is difficult, both cooking and putting it in order. And maybe in a restaurant you can enjoy more the Christmas atmosphere. It seems to be interesting to go to eat something I've rarely eaten, like French cooking.
Q6 Even without your girlfriend, Christmas would become a fun event.
NO. If she isn't there, I don't think I need Christmas~ I will spend it as a perfectly normal day (laughs) That is, beside the question if the girl is there or not, since probably this 2010, I will be working, there isn't a Christmas... (laughs)
Q7 You have a sad memory about Christmas
NO. When I was little I received presents from my granny every year, I received the game console I was longing for, so I've got only good memories. But, I don't have a single memory of my middle school. Are those sad!?
Q8 You think Christmas day is a good chance to confess.
NO. No, I mean, even if you confess and start seeing each other, the first day of the New year if she says that she has to go to the country with the family, it will be sad. For this reason, isn't better to confess a bit before, and on that day enjoy Christmas to the fullest as it’s all for you?
Q9 If you have to spend Christmas alone, you would watch a movie.
YES.A movie, a game, everything is fine. I mean, if I'm alone it's a simple “normal day” (laughs) Ah! It may be good to go to watch sports events  and relieve the stress. Because I become friends at once with unknown old men too.
Q10 You think your ultimate Christmas will be after you get married.
YES.Of course being single is fun too, but a new family must be another thing. Since I didn't believe in Santa, I think I want to grant my own children's dreams. For this reason, probably I will end up dressing as Santa.
