iside89I admit it, I totally watched MANY dramas in the last... 3 weeks. I feel a bit dizzy indeed XD;; This is why Ueda doesn't approve. I wrote these shorts comments soon after finishing them, so maybe I'll change my mind in the future, who knows XD
I also watched 8uppers movie, but I won't comment it /lazy. I liked it though! Especially Ryo+kids was cracktastic. The movie plot is nothing new but enjoyable. In a corner of my heart I was hoping KT had such a movie. KT+yakuza+babies= djshdgdkgs *_*
What I watched:
Mr. Brain
Probably my favourite drama in this rece-batch. I really like it. Well it's my cup of tea, since mystery/detective dramas-tv series are my favourite together with medical ones, and this was a clash between those two genres. I was really amused when Tsukumo/Kimitaku gave us some curious infos about neuroscience. And yes, I finally understood why KimuTaku is considered a good actor. He's good indeed. *_*
It was also nice the fact "1 guest for 1 episode", even if this makes obvious who the culprit is. I really enjoyed the pianist episode and the woman with multiple personalities episode. Especially the last one, I decided that Nakama Yukie is my favourite (and only, until now) Japanese actress. She did a great job. Gackt was very, VERY creepy indeed.
I see fandom tends to dislike/criticize this drama. I actually liked it. I think its problem is that has no romance behind and this fandom wants Kame/idols into love relationships in dramas. Analyzing the plot, it has lots of potentiality, maybe not fully used, this is true. The problem dwells in its "episodic" structure. For example, not being biased here, but Wakui's episode had lots of potentiality, but being just 1 episode long was wasted. Like, bribes? When, why, how, from who? The reason the doctor was killed was weak at its beginning (a longer development would have been better). In fact, the best episodes are the pianist and the woman one because they're long 1 ep and half/2 episodes.
And yes, the ending of ep.3 moved me. I was bawling "wah they love each other ;A; THEN WHY?! jhsgakd give me moar!". What was I saying, about not well developed plot?
This drama flaws? I already said the episodic structure. Then, I love Mizushima Hiro, but he was overacting. Then, I was waiting for an explanation of the first episode - like, the host thing, the surgery scene, why is he so intelligent, etc etc. I still don't have understand what happened to his brain in that photogram O_O Was it bigger? Uhm <_<And KimuTaku w/ short blond hair is really hot. Short blond or long brown. Short brown I don't like.
And this because we need more doctors Wakui-sensei love. The second pic is for the senpai-kohai love.
To make a long story short: Mr. Brain needs a Season 2.

I watched it for Junno's love. Seriously. He even looked cool and charming to me in one episode (yes, I like blond!Junno KtF style, while I dislike blond!Junno D-Mo style). And after the initial shock, even blue eyes suit him O_O And LMAO. Junno as bride and Junno as woman really challenged my woman's pride XD And I won't say the 2nd hand embarrassment that Granmanie's character gives... LMAO. And Yoko too XD
I so love this scene. Yoko is so bitchy with that pout. ♥ (tumblr here)
The acting is really bad, more or less all of them. The plot is a plain manga plot. Nothing exciting.
Random: I *facepalmed* at how this Italian trillionare name was spelled in the subs. "Monteliercchino"? LOL. It's impossible to pronounce in Italian. And from Junno's "Montarcino", I think the right name is Montalcino LOLOL XD And his "grrrrrrazie" omg i so love junno right now XDDD (OMG now I need to hear not only Kame, but even Junno speaking italian too. It seems that after all, aside of the random L/R, Junno's italian would be better than his English LMAO*references to "banana so much" aren't intended... maybe*).

Uhm. It's not a masterpiece @.@ But it entertained me for one evening, mostly because I was ROTFL-ing at Kame/Hajime's super-slangish japanese ("cho maji yabai!" has been my leitmotiv for 3 days, I guess. OMG what kind of Japanese am I learning? *headdesk*). And because the vampire full of bandages on his face and with elf-shaped ears was so trash I can't even. Japanese 2005 movies, LOL. Is this the image you have of Vampires? Always better than Twilight I suppose, but really, Dracula is cringing...
And... i didn't know there were Koki and Maru too in these movie! XDD The movie started and I saw Koki and Maru, I though "Oh did I download the wrong file, maybe?", and 2 sec after "Kamenashi Kazuya"'s Kanji appeared so I was "what?" XD My OT3 in the same movie *sparkles* ♥
Funny fact, i watched this movie 1-2 days before the DBS11 announcement. I've got clearvoyances powers, I tell ya.
Aside the crappy-ness of some recording choices and techniques, the story itself was interesting. I got the culprit but I didn't get the modus operandi.
And well, Kame acting is always a nice view, even if at his beginning as actor - and if you're used to his recent acting, you see the difference. The boy is improving.And here he's too skinny... XD Even though I found quite cracktastic young Hajime/Kame trying to be cool and charm the girls. maybe because I'm used to 25-year-old Kame now? XD
Then I noticed: the previous Kindaichi movie had MatsuJun as Hajime, right? Like Gokusen, is Kame a sort of MatsuJun's heir? LOL.

I finished this one yesterday. I watched the movie months ago, but lucky me at least one time, my memory didn't fail.
Let's say straightforward: the doctor character is annoying and even Ainosuke is too much whiney sometimes. But I ship them now X__X *bricked* The first episode was a shock for me (so I learn reading the cast list before beginning a new drama - Yes, I choose the drama I see just reading the synopsis): of course I knew about Yoko and Yamada. I knew many of the supporting actors, then I saw Crystal Kay and I went "oh? I know her". And then... haruna Ai? And Yuma?! LMAO I know too many actors here. But actually, if I had to choose between Yamada and Yuma's acting skills... maybe Yamada. Yuma really was OTL.
The plot was nice, I found myself trying to get the hints together with Ainosuke - I failed 90% of the time, by the way. Around ep.4-5 onward this drama really caught me and i watched like 2-3 episodes one after the other in the middle of the night XD;; The ending... from half ep.8 onwards, why was I waiting for a happy ending? ;A;At least a bit happier? ;_;
Anyway, I like this drama, after all. Not at Mr.Brain's level because the acting level is completely different, but it's not so bad.
Yamada and Yoko make a nice brother couple. Yes I know I didn't choose a very nice pic but LOL. Yoko was pretty good. I like how bitchy characters suit him LOL. I watched 2 dramas with Yoko in such a short span of time, woah.
I can't decide about Yamada as actor. Everyone says he's bad, he's bad indeed, but sometimes he showed a bit of skills. He impressed me in some scenes so I can't write a X on his face yet. he's young and maybe he'll get better? I wonder.
By the way, the HSJ song... it's catchy but I don't like it @.@
The ratio is... 3 detective dramas out of 4. GREAT XDD

I still think that, after KimuTaku, Kame is one of the best actors in JE. At least he showed he can face different facial expressions and different roles. I'm still hoping he will get a better villain role, that would be a nice trial for him >.>

That and Hiro is annoying... like seriously.., just grab one' banana so much' and shut up already.., but then he was that BAD in Tokyo Dogs too.. so yeah. *bricked*. Kame's episode in Mr.Brain had it's wonderful moments despite the under-developed plot and overall mediocre attempt in storyline, and that would be the last few minutes before it ends. ahahaha... Kame could do angst like kametards could do pervy talks forever. I like the pianist's (what is his name again? the guy in Q10) episode, but then i kinda stop watching after that... (><;;)
Yuukan Club is a major disaster... it's when bad script meets bad acting, i rather not talk abt this.., it still gives me cramps. stop at episode 4.
That Hidari thing... was quite ok.. i think..? idk.. i stopped quite early, perhaps around episode 3. Although that only means I find it sucked, but since i didn't finished watching i wouldn't know how much better it gets towards the end.
My highlight of this year (half year actually) dramas would be BOSS/BOSS2 (adore this like mad), Marumo no Okite (my type of drama) and Asuko no March (this is surprisingly chomajiyabai interesting).
Those i dropped would be Masaki no. 1, Umareru, Shiawase ni Narau yo, Inu the dog drama, Rebound (tho some love this you should give it a try), Muscle Girl, Bartender, Fuyu no Sakura.. omg and lots more.
I shall watch JIN...

I like horror movies so for me Kindaichi was more trash movie than real horror/ghost movie XD But I remember that at start there's that scene at the hospital that's a bit creepy indeed.

But well, I liked the nonchalantly smart side of Sawada so -->Odagiri is my fav between them XD And I watched Gokusen 1&2 before stanning KT.
Side note, I was so *o* when I read that Odagiri became a teacher in the movie. I was like "oh my little clever angsty boy grew up and became a teacher, so proud of him *o*". XDD;; I tend to sympathize with my fav characters XD;;
This is the reason I can't bring myself to watch Gokusen 3, the head of the class doesn't seem to have the smart side, this round.
I've yet to see Kame in Kinpachi-sensei, dang it.

Seen Gokusen 2 before I even learned of KT, and didn't even mind Kame then, HAHAHA to me (though I do remember commenting on the bitchbrows and THE nose LOL). So Ryu's study-in-Canada bid became sorta useful for the movie. NGL, I facepalmed at some wardrobe choices in the movie :D And, yes, Gokusen 3 had no resident smart guy around :DDD
The Kinpachi series, yes - it's the only Kame drama I haven't watched. And WTH, a 15-sec cameo for the finale XD
