Q: Do you change clothes as soon as you’re back home?
A: As first thing I undress! Following the day I fling on something, or if I’m in the mood of having nothing on my body, I simply don’t.
Q: Which kind of home outfit do you want the girl to wear?
A: I’d like she had many patterns: jersey, pajama… I would like she makes me look forward to it.
Q: Shower or soaking in the bathtub?
A: Almost every day I soak in the bath. About the bathing time, there are days I finish in 5 minutes and days when I take my time for almost 1 hour.
Q: What do you wear to sleep?
A: The same thing I was wearing at home. A sweat, a jersey. I don’t have a pajama I wear just to sleep.
Q: What’s your ideal breakfast?
A: Recently I’m into hot cakes. Eating at my veranda while hearing the birds’ chirping really makes me happy.
Q: Do you prefer hard or soft pillows?
I like soft ones. But not the too soft ones, the kind of pillows that follow the head shape and have a low level of resistance.
Q: Indoor or outdoor?
A: I like sports so basically is outdoor, but there are days I stay at home reading a book or watching a movie.
Q: Cooking, laundry, cleaning: which are you better in?
A: About cleanings, if I activate the switch I’m the type that does all of them. But as expected, it’s cooking. Even if I do it every day it doesn’t become a pain.
Q: What’s the home-made dish you want to receive by your lover?
A: Everything unless it’s the same of the day before! But I want to cook. If she tells me what she wants to eat, I’ll prepare it at once.
Q: Black coffee or coffee with milk?
A: After getting up, a sweet coffee with milk and sugar. But if I drink it after eating or at night, it’s black. I like coffee very much.
Q: What’s the BGM you have at home to relax?
A: Healing music, like the one you hear at the supermarket. Since songs with lyrics catch my heart I don’t listen to them at home.

I don’t put up a face for the camera anymore. Now I’m in a natural mode.
Looking at his own figure on the monitor just after the photoshoot he said by himself “I became an adult!”. Even for us that have watched over Kamenashi-san from his naughty period of his teens those words create a deep emotion. Where does he feel he became an “adult”?
“Both the face and the body shape, I think I’ve generally changed. Especially my expression, maybe. In the past, during such photoshoots I always put up a face for the camera. Because I wanted that people saw the coolest part of me. But then I realized that, that one wasn’t really cool, I was just posing trying to be cool”.
Today he passed the day relaxing at the stadium. Even now, lying on the bed, he’s so natural it looks like he’ll fall asleep.
“Becoming able to show my true face in front of people is something relatively recent. Mostly I grew tired of my own built façade for the camera (laughs). When I show about 60% of the cool expression and also a gentle face, isn't that refreshing? Now I’m in such a mode. But I’ve got a fickle character, so maybe I’ll change mode again”.
We want to see many Kamenashi-san, like the gentle and at ease one!
“But as a man I don’t want to forget to act cool. There was a time when I greedily went to meet people I was concerned in, even if we had no time. But recently I’m becoming slow in taking the initiative like “Shall we meet next time?”, so I want to pay attention to that too. It doesn’t mean I want to be young, I think I must not become excessively a ceremonious adult until the heart.”
Exactly that aggressive position is the reason that Kamenashi-san is keeping his glitter that doesn’t fade. Right in time for this number’s anti-ageing special section. I bring up the topic of nowadays women’s beauty rules and ageing care… but even after explaining it, Kamenashi-san has an indifferent “ooh” reaction. As expected, men aren’t interested in the topic?
“More than this, I don’t look at people considering their age. I think the age doesn’t matter if there’s that person particular sense or aura. To be frank, I can’t tell the differences in appearance between women in their 20s and 30s (laughs). For example, even if I’m said by a woman I’ve just met “actually I’m quite old” I simply think “And so?”, I absolutely don’t change my impression. On the contrary, it’s a bigger shock when I’m said “actually I’ve got a boyfriend”. I think “what, I met such a wonderful person and I can’t fall in love!?””
But spots and wrinkles, upper arm, squishy tummy… it’s woman’s heart to mind such things!
“Ok ok, then, shall we just turn off the lights? (laughs) I think that’s men’s true thought. But I prefer a hardworking person more than someone who does nothing. It’s because they want to be feminine forever that they do their best, right? I respect that position. But simply I don’t want she does the impossible.”

“The human experience is very fascinating for me. Regardless of gender, if I think “she/he’s great!”, I greedily want to learn from that person. But about romantic love, I don’t pay attention just and only to that. It may sound shallow, but I’ve got my personal history too. Even if I have a fickle nature, I never get bored of love. Because women are everyday different, right? When you think they got angry, they laugh, and then they cry. They are cute even just after waking up, but when they dress up they are fine the same. I consider as major premise “dating = marriage”, so I want to take part at many different situations of the other’s life. So it’s impossible to get bored. Even if as a result many things happen and we arrive to an end, when I’m in love I want to be always this serious. But recently, men who say “even if we’re dating I can’t think about marrying her” are increasing, right? What does that mean? I don’t understand it. Surely I’m a “Showa man” inside my head.”
