iside89As always, this is a very interesting article. He talks about himself and the present KAT-TUN, about how he doesn’t want drama in his life and at the same time how KAT-TUN’s story is full of drama. Enjoy it!

Bem’s hat is the “drama”’s source since it conceals his greatest secret, the horns. Talking about Bem, the director was an AD of “Nobuta wo produce” period. Being able to meet again after acquiring many experiences is dramatic and I was happy.
I think there are many people who yearn for a dramatic life, but I probably don’t seek for drama in my life by myself. For example, love. From the beginning I have few encounters, so when I fell in love, I basically don’t take a sort of romantic direction. Even though I wink during concerts, I would definitely not do it in my private life. Because it would be embarrassing and it doesn't suit me. (laughs)
Perhaps it’s because of my work, but I end up looking at “drama” and “directing” from an objective point of view. I don’t like to make preparations beforehand to begin with. It’s fine to move following that moment’s feelings and travel whichever way the wind carries me. As a result, this gives birth to drama. Something like when I woke up in the morning and suddenly went to Okinawa, it happened by chance to be able to see beautiful scenery. Since I'm a contradictive person I don’t want to do an obvious and typical directing [of my life]. The first time I meet someone, since I tend to be seen as cool, on the contrary it happens that I want to invite her to have a date at a gyudon place, so when she’d think that the next place is going to be another rough place I’ll invite her to an elegant French restaurant. I want to betray all the predictions. Presents too, rather than preparing them beforehand, I will follow the idea of that moment. Something like putting silently inside her bag the book she seems wanting to read or vitamins. It’s more romantic when it doesn’t follow harmoniously the plans. Is this showing-off? (laughs) I have a dramatic way of thinking. Not only in the productions [=dorama I’ve done] I’ve played sweet love, but also I’ve had many encounters that stimulated my sensitivity. As basis I’m a man playing cool. Maybe my basic level of drama is higher than people? For this reason a deliberate producing [in life] is embarrassing.
The beginning was luck. The struggle hasn’t begun yet.
Moreover, I think that being in love with me won’t be ordinary—. I myself am not conscious of each part of it, but looking at it objectively, isn’t my life considerably dramatic? The life of a normal boy who likes baseball rapidly spread upon the fact of entering the Johnny’s. For a while after joining the agency I hadn’t attracted attention. By a certain person I was told “Because you are a Junior at a level you could be swept away with a broom” (laughs), so when during the period of high school entrance exam I thought once to quit the agency, I was stopped by Johnny-san saying “I’ll create a group”, and I became part of KAT-TUN. The fact itself of doing this job is an adventure, and I have lived until now always holding ambition and sense of risk.
Also the group KAT-TUN is probably a group full of drama. With the debut single and the album we suddenly and completely were watched with interest. Also after that we created a sensation many times, so there may be people that think KAT-TUN powered down due to that. But you know, we are the parties concerned and we don’t think that at all. Also the period when we were lifted thanks to the debut we didn’t think it. We were on TV and we also made mistakes, but the little fuss around us at the beginning was luck and thanks to the people around us. It’s not because we essentially were able to sell. Surely [the hard part] is from now on. The greatest ones are the senpai that are continuing doing activities, and year after year my sense of respect increases. At that time we were just allowed to study the society a bit. The people around me kindly say “excuse me?” (laughs), but I still seriously think that “I want to be famous, I want to become popular!” (laughs). The real drama is from now on. I think that for KAT-TUN “now” is the entrance to the second stage we have finally reached. Because everyone has come to have full fundamental body strength and feelings, and now, I am grateful to be able to have a chance. Without thinking about superfluous stuff, just challenge with full might. I think that it would be good if the moment I will look back this part had become a part of a dramatic life.

Kame’s fixed point of observation
Kamenashi-kun is in the middle of the shooting of “Youkai Ningen Bem”. He says he’s able to take a good communication with Ann-san in the role of Bera and Suzuki Fuku-kun in the role of Bero. “Ann-chan is a completely new type of woman. She has a side that’s similar to a young boy, and she’s also incredibly clever and has an extensive knowledge. Even during light chats we have during breaks she uses words I absolutely don’t know, so I bought an electronic dictionary and we talk while looking at it together with Fuku (laughs)” he says amused. Both the filming and the final product, we can feel a response there’s never been until now. We look forward to what there will be after the drama too!

This time is the real beginning of KAT-TUN now, and I really appreciate what they've done for us until now. Thank you for helping us understand Kame by these translations:)).
