It's quite a lot of time I don't translate crosstalks :D So here we go! Talking about spring, sakura, pink, Tokyo Dome concerts, and answering to some short questions about favourite colors and stuff.
T/N: Sakura is the Japanese cherry tree; hanami is the “going out to look at the cherry trees in full blossom” tradition Japanese people have. They do it around March/April (depending on the zone, cherry trees blossom in different periods), they do picnics under the trees, drink together etc.

POTATO 2012.06 – COLOR
Since it's a photo session taken under the sakura in full bloom, they five talk about hanami episodes and the colour of sakura=pink (the coverage was done in the middle of April). Moreover they talk about their favourite colour and give a suggested item for this spring to the readers!

Just looking at the sakura trees the mood improves!
Ka: Do you have episodes concerning hanami?
Ko: Exactly yesterday I went to Ueno park with my 2 dogs and looked at the sakura trees.
U: It's nice~ you have such a nice story. I couldn't see these rare sakura.
Ko: Eh? Why?
U: Because yesterday I went to a restaurant that makes the “you can see sakura” its sale point. Then I ended in a blind spot with a wall and couldn't see sakura very much. I thought “this is a fraud~” (laughs)
N: Hahaha, that's no good. My episode... My home-town is a place famous for having a lot of sakura, to the point that there was a sakura even in my old elementary school's mark. So when I was little I have continuously seen sakura. But sadly when the new semester starts they were mostly scattered...
U: In Tokyo the blooming is slightly before (the start of the new semester) right.
N: Yes. So I have this memory of thinking every year “it's such a pity they're all scattered!” (laughs)
J: Hanami... I unexpectedly don't do it often. Because when evening comes it's still cold, right? To think that it'd be good if sakura trees bloom in summer...
N: Obviously it won't happen.
J: Sakura trees have around 200 species, to think it'd be so good if there was one among them that blooms in summer! (laughs)
Ka: Anyway the sakura here here where we have the photo shoot today are extremely nice.
N: Then wouldn't it good if we bought a house around here?
Ka: Right. Shall I buy a 2000 tsubo lot to begin with? (laughs) [T/N: a tsubo is around 3,3m]
U: Oh, buy buy!
N: Looking at sakura your mood improves without knowing why. Because you think “Ah, Japan is good~”
J: Because it's Japan's national flower.
Ko: Ah, but it seems that even in New York they are blooming.
N: Also it seems that now, also in the vacant lot of Berlin's Wall in Germany sakura are blooming as symbol of peace.
J: Eh~ It's nice.
Men don't really like pink!?
Ka: ...then, if we talk about sakura, this means pink. About pink. I wonder if a discussion about Peach Ranger will be OK.
Ko: Isn't it OK?
U: The conversation wouldn't proceed. In this case a conversation about peach juice would be.... It wouldn't proceed either? (laughs)
N: What about a conversation regarding “women like pink”? For example, there are people that make a girl's room all in pink. What do you think?
Ka: No, I'd probably pull back a little.
U: I guess it'd be impossible for me too.
J: I don't like it either, but I don't say it's absolutely impossible, I guess.
Ko: Ah, if it was me, if I went to a girl's house and her room was all pink I'd probably say “Sorry but can you change everything before tomorrow?”.
Ka: It's not the pink colour itself that's bad, it's simply that men don't like pink so much.
Ko: ...ah, thinking about that, in the past my mother had a period where she was really into pink. She made everything pink, even the curtains, she repainted in pink even our home telephone. (laughs)
N: A pink telephone? (laughs)
Ka: I wonder how she managed.
Ko: I don't know, but [I think that] it's pretty something, to the point to be covered by the magazine (laughs)
N: Hahaha! That's incredible! Then, there are also people who collect pink character goods. What do you think about that?
U: Mh, probably for me that's unthinkable too.
Ka: Then, pink clothes?
J: I think that's fine if they're worn by girls. But if I have to be honest, choosing a pink stole, the most nonchal... &%$*# (Taguchi stumbles on his own words)
U: Eh? What? What was the latter part?
Ko: Something like “nonchalantly feelz thatz...”
Ka: Taguchi isn't good in the latter part of conversations (laughs) He already feels relieved halfway.
J: I wanted to say “nonchalantly feel is the best” (laughs)
Ko: Ah, it was that? Indeed, I guess that using it as touch of colour is fine.
U: Yes. Every element of the body pink is a bit....
Ka: Then, it depends by the colour's strength too. If it's a full flashy pink, I really don't....
N: A weak pink is OK? For me a veeeery weak pink shirt is OK.
U: Ah, in that case I understand.
Ko: I am fine with a veeeery weak one too.
Ka: Well, it means that the best is adding nonchalantly a not-gaudy pink.
Tokyo Dome has a deep special intensity
Ka: Then next one, something about a fact that excites you in spring.
J: I'm happy that recently I can go outside without wearing a coat [because it has become warmer]. It's lighter and also my mood becomes excited.
N: Spring clothes are nice eh.
Ka: It has become warmer so I'd like girls to surely wear skirts. It's nice when skirts sway with delicacy with the wind.
U: That's good~ that's good, right~
Ko: Talking about a fact that makes us excited, it's the tour we're doing now.
J: It's after 2 years, but as expected a tour is cool~
U: Yes. We're enjoying it.
Ka: In Fukuoka there was a conversation about granting Taguchi's wish and finally being able to go to eat motsunabe in its original place for the first time! [T/N: about this, watch Music Japan 2012.02.19 xD]
J: ...but...
Ka: ...once we went there it wasn't a motsunabe restaurant (laughs)
U: Actually that time I was quite pissed off (laughs). Because I was already in a complete motsunabe mood!
Ka: Well also that restaurant we went to was really delicious. And in a short time there'll be Tokyo Dome 3 days shows. As expected, for us Tokyo Dome is our home town, we don't want to lose.
U: Because we don't know defeat in our home town.
N: ...there was such a song (laughs) [T/N: the line Ueda said are Seishun Amigo lyrics! xD]
Ko: Well, obviously all shows at every place are all precious to us, but Tokyo Dome is the first stage KAT-TUN stayed on after our debut, so the intensity becomes deeper no matter what.
J: (abruptly) We want to release all the power we've stored during the tour in the last show in Sendai.
Ka: Now we were talking about Tokyo Dome though. Taguchi is really not good in the latter part of conversations! (laughs)
N: Hahaha! Because once you realize it he's changing the topic (laughs)
Ka: Well but it's true, we properly want to show in every place, including Sendai, a good performance.
All: Yes!
Q&A
1 - What's your favourite colour? Why?
2 - Tell something to the readers: “Since it's spring, I suggest this!”
3 - A recent happening
KAME
In early summer I want to grill jealousy on barbecue (laughs)
1 - What's your favourite colour? Why?
My favourite colour? A lot (laughs). No, I guess it's black. If there's colour variety I end up buying black, and also my western-style clothes are mostly black. [T/N: I'd dare to say he was punning here too, since "colour" (iro) and "a lot" (iroiro) sounds similar and because after that answer he laughs and denies it. It's just a guess though xD]
2 - Tell something to the readers: “Since it's spring, I suggest this!”
Barbecue. Wherever is fine, if you're together with people you're friend with it's fun just with this. What I want to grill is... jealousy! That's a lie (laughs) [T/N: I think there are multiple possible puns here: yakimochi may mean 1-jealousy, 2-grilled rice cake, 3-it has the same verb of “grill” (yaku) inside, so he might just be punning the verb here. I think 1st is the most probable pun... ^^'] Scallop, maybe. I like scallops a lot, when I go to a supermarket I surely buy them. I buy the kind of scallop to eat as sashimi and eat them like that, or I grill them with butter&soy sauce, or even boiling a bit and making them “sort of toriwasa” and eat them are good. [T/N: toriwasa are briefly-boiled chicken breasts served cold and mostly raw, similar to sashimi, with soy sauce+wasabi. So he's suggesting to short-boil scallop and season them as toriwasa, I think...?]
3 - A recent happening
Connected to cooking, recently I've cooked a cheese pasta with white truffle! The seasoning was a market sauce, but I don't use it as it is. This time I added black pepper and soy sauce. It was so delicious!
MARU
It gives a fresh feeling, I like white most.
1 - What's your favourite colour? Why?
White, because it's a fresh colour at glance. Since without noticing blackish clothes increase, I'm trying to consciously buy white.
2 - Tell something to the readers: “Since it's spring, I suggest this!”
Take walks. During last year's autumn, I often had strolls in the mornings with a nice weather. It was very pleasurable so from now that's becoming warmer I'm thinking to start again. In my case if I go around the neighbourhood, I walk without bringing anything.
3 - A recent happening
I like watching soccer matches so I have often watched them on TV. Then I casually received a ticket and went to watch it, and with that chance I thought that as expected watching matches live is good. It's fun! I remember the feelings of when I have played it as a student. Recently I bought the towel and I support [the team], my tension rose quite a lot (laughs). I plan to get into it even more!
KOKI
Black, white, beige, khaki. These are my 4 origin colours.
1 - What's your favourite colour? Why?
Black and white. Then I also like fluffy colours like beige and khaki. These are my 4 origin colours (laughs). There isn't a particular reason, but it's a sure thing. For clothes I like these routine colours, while if it's house furniture colour, brown increases. I also like to use pink as touch of colour.
2 - Tell something to the readers: “Since it's spring, I suggest this!”
Since it's going to become warmer, I want to do touring soon. Everything is fine, it's fine to go outside, right? Strolls are okay too. I do a lot of things, like skateboard!
3 - A recent happening
The protein I bought at a body builder specialized shop is really delicious so recently I'm into it. Looking to the summer I started building up my body. Every year I say the same thing “[I do it] in order to go to the beach and be popular with girls!”, but I've never put it into practice (laughs)
JUNNO
The colour I like at glance is blue. To wear is monotone clothes!
1 - What's your favourite colour? Why?
I guess blue. Since when I was a kid this is my favourite colour. But I don't wear it so much as clothes. Blue is the colour I like looking at it, while to wear I have many monotone or khaki clothes.
2 - Tell something to the readers: “Since it's spring, I suggest this!”
I like the sea, so let's go to the sea, everyone! In this period of the year there must be still few people. If you go in a good weather warm day, it'll surely be the best. Reading a book, listening to music, sleeping. I suggest to spend the day in complete relax.
3 - A recent happening
Now I'm thinking to study design. Wouldn't it be nice being able to create postcards? Sadly I don't have artistic sense at all though (laughs). But recently I'm able to create simple designs with the computer, so I feel that even I can do it. It'd be nice to be able to design T-Shirts.
UEDA
On stage I want to wear clothes of my favourite colour!
1 - What's your favourite colour? Why?
Red. There's no reason, I like it from a long time ago (laughs). Also when it's time to create costumes for the concerts I request for reddish stuff. Because as expected on stage I want to appear wearing my favourite colours as much as possible. Then I relatively like blue.
2 - Tell something to the readers: “Since it's spring, I suggest this!”
As suggested outing, wouldn't a picnic be fine? Preparing a bento, going to a park, relaxing since lunch time, it sounds fun. The weather is warm and seems you can take a good mood. I want to go too if I have time.
3 - A recent happening
Recently I am cooking takoyaki at home around 2-3 times per week. Adding Vienna sausages and using that oil to scratch outside, it becomes more and more delicious. Then adding cheese as topping, I'm enjoying arranging it in different ways in my own style.

That awkward moment when Kame puns more than Junno! XDD
And of course, the theme is pink, so pink icon, ftw!
