Personally, I'm an AKB48 fan. I'm far from being an Yukirin Oshi, but everyone should know how damn popular she is and how her recent "scandal" is just going to make her stand out even more. Many hyphens might not know exactly who she is but they should fear her. Like you mentioned, 3rd (from amongst 400+ girls) is mad.
But despite being a huge AKB fan, KAT-TUN is and will always be 10 notches up for me. They are the first boyband I've been so hooked on, even till this day. I've pre-ordered one of each version and all I'm doing now is waiting for it to reach me. The feeling of having the original CDs physically, the anticipation of waiting to get the songs rather than simply downloading them...it's wonderful. More hyphens need to feel that.
Thank you for this kind reminder post. It's made me feel more love for KAT-TUN and just how much I want to see these boys top the charts, not just this round, but for every other release they have. I've been buying every single copy of their CDs and DVDs since White X'Mas and this strengthens my belief that if we Hyphens have made it happen for the past 6 years...we can definitely do it this time too.
