iside89I really like the lyrics! Also, Kame hinted this song is important in the drama around ep.4-5, ep.4 is tomorrow, so here a translation! :D
I tried to patch the radio preview and the drama opening together; considering how radio preview and PV short version are cut, I think the drama opening is the 2nd stanza so I placed it there (highlighted in blue), but of course I'm not sure.
I copied down the lyrics myself so there still might be differences in choice of kanji/text, I'm going to edit it when I have the official booklet in some days

If you keep in mind it is a song sung by father and son in the drama, you understand how this song seems written by the dad for his children: he uses their names, especially many variations of Ao's, who is singing with :) (see notes)

[*] The kanjis used here are a variation of "Ao (blue) + sky", but they're sung as "sora" (sky); written with the most commonly used kanji, Ao青 is the name of the 3rd son in the drama :D Furthermore, in "kon'iro no sora", there are even two of the three kanjis that can be used to write "Ao" (蒼・碧).
You notice these wordplays only if you read the lyrics :D It sounds "in the indigo blue (blue) sky" and "in the deep blue (blue) sky".
[**] As was hinted both in interviews and Kame's radio, the lyrics include the three Ganato's sons' names indeed: Ai 藍 (in Aiko), Kon 紺 and Ao 青, respectively “indigo blue”, “deep blue”, “light blue/green”.
Here “aoi” is referred to apples so I used “green”. The line takes the meaning of “unripe apples change color” (that is, become mature).
(might it be also a hint that Ao in the plot will become “mature” like the apple in the lyrics? :D)

I don't know why, it's just those words give a big impact on me.

Date: 2013-11-02 09:11 am (UTC)Second of all, I like the lyrics *___* To be honest, I had some problems with this song firstly because when we got to know that there will be a dorama for Kame, I was all "yeyyy, new KAT-TUN song!!" and then turned out it won't be a KAT-TUN song xD; Of course, we got Kusabi since then but-- yeah. But I'm watching Tokyo Bandwagon and I'm totally in love with this song (+ with the PV preview omg) and I'm glad its lyrics doesn't disappoint me either :) It's about goodbye but it's still... nice and happy because somehow it's so sure they'll meet one day again. I like it.
Oh, and lastly, thank you for your little notes in the end, I like this play with the colours and names *____*

It was the first thing that hit me during the very very first song preview. And no matter if they cry now and when they meet up again, the time spent together is precious.
