Jokes aside, the photoshoot is very cute, but they talk about the PV and album backstage so it should be interesting for everyone! Highlights:
-Title of the tour (which seems is officially “KAT-TUN”, not “Countdown 2013”) and Junno's role in creating the live structure :D
-Kusabi PV took more than one day!
-What's KAT-TUN's linchpin (kusabi)!
The magazine has also an interview to Kame that I haven't translated (thus the (KAT-TUN part) I added in the title).

KAT-TUN will release their first album after becoming four members, “Kusabi”. During the talk and the greatly coordinated posing for the camera, the “kizuna=kusabi” [bond=linchpin] born from being together for so many years is clearly strong. We have expectations from this new KAT-TUN!
---------It's the first album after almost two years!
K: This time there were both “Kusabi” and “GIMME LUV” songs from the beginning. From that start point, we have a live waiting, so we said we wanted to add more songs thus we chose many of them, and at the end the total amount of [chosen] songs was enough for an album. This was the flow of events.
N: Yes. More than creating an album, it turned out being an album as result [of events].
K: About the songs choice, I guess we naturally chose the songs we desired keeping the live as base. While keeping under control the general balance.
T: Yes, the balance. The balance.
U: Actually after playing and listening to the complete album, I thought we created a good balance.
T: As expected there's balance~
---------It was decided you'll hold a live on December 30th/31st at Osaka Dome.
K: Because it's after a long time. Like saying to the people who have waited for us “we're sorry [for making you wait]”.
U: I'm very happy we have a live. It seems it'll be a good live, where both us and the audience will throw to each other the feelings of wanting to make noise together.
N: It's after a long time, and it's the first time for us to both hold a concert as four members and have an independent countdown concert. It'll be a special live, in many meanings.
T: Because the live's title is “KAT-TUN”. We must make it special. With a well balanced structure too!
N: You bring out the balance once again...
K: I'm more concerned about the bad balance of Taguchi's hairstyle though (laughs)
U: But this Taguchi is the one who created and brought us the basic project for this live.
T: It was rough though. I tried to think in my own way what we can do and what we must do.
K: Until now it has been the staff who planned this first stage. After that draft we have always talked among us and changed it though.
N:And it happens that we turn it upside-down, don't we? Maybe the fact this time even the basic project comes from a member has a huge importance.
T: There are so many things I want to do!
N: Similarly to the album, it looks like we'll surely create something that can satisfy everyone.
---------What impressed you most regarding the PV filming?
K: “Kusabi” took two days staying overnight.
N: The first day it rained heavily. The remains of that rain and the following day's beautiful sunlight overlapped and the resulting scenery was so incredibly pretty you'd think it's computer graphic.
U: Yes. But we obtained such a strong and beautiful footage that can't be reproduced by computer graphic.
K: With that, I felt how nature is amazing. Also, during the whole filming we were using smoke. During the second part of the filming we run out of it, so staff made a fire as substitute for the [fake] smoke, but that one went directly to the throat (laughs).
T-U-N: Aaah! (laughs)
K: It was the fruit of staff's efforts (laughs)
T: We danced for “GIMME LUV”!
U: We danced quite a lot. To the point we didn't know anymore how many times we danced the whole thing before ending the filming.
K: Because the used camera was basically one, so every time that we filmed changing camera angle we danced again from the start.
T: Thinking about it, using more than one camera we'd have finished in way less time...
U: True (laughs). But watching the final product, I feel it deserved it.
K: Depending on the camera position they slightly changed the lighting, and since they were filming from the best angle, the result is that footage.
N: Using just one camera has its own luxury too.
T: Also for “Kusabi” it seems the making will be included. I think you can enjoy comparing the real atmosphere of the nature and the final video too.
---------Bluntly, what do you think the linchpin/bond for the present KAT-TUN is?
U: As expected, live. Especially the moment we greet everyone with “We're KAT-TUN”. Including the audience too, I strongly feel the unity.
N: I feel it when we are having meetings. I wonder if it's because we've been together for so long, but even if our ideas differ, the fact we can continue smoothly [while having different ideas] must be our bond.
T: Maybe it's the path we have walked until now as KAT-TUN. It's not so easy to continue on the same path for more than 10 years. That time has become our linchpin.
K: Because there wouldn't be the present if there wasn't the unity and bond between us and with the fans, right? So I think that everything until now is our linchpin. The moment I can feel it most strongly is during a live, so I look forward to it and want to do it soon!
Something recent with “KUSABI”
[T/N: they summed up something recent about them in three sentences starting respectively with KU/SA/BI syllables. In translation this is obviously lost.]
Taguchi: “Even the most desperate gag won't come up anymore. /I start to feel I'm getting old. / Maybe because my skin became sensitive.”
Recently I'm concerned with the status of my skin when I do the make-up. This must be due to my age too (laughs). By the way, the care I do by myself is only cleaning face lotion. The fact I don't come up with gags is really painful for me though...
Kamenashi: “From the break in the clouds / the filtering light / strongly gives me courage”
During today's filming on location for “Tokyo Bandwagon”, waiting for the rain to stop I waited inside the car for two hours. When I looked up to the sky wondering if it stopped, the light of the sun shone from a break in the clouds, and it gave me will to do at once. When I'm filming for a drama I'm particularly concerned by the weather.
Ueda: “Christmas / came fast / I'm surprised”
Maybe this year is the year that I felt passing faster in my whole life. In March we went to New York and I still feel it so close, how does it come it's already the end of the year?! Christmas will be in the middle of the stage play's rehearsals, shall I ask Ninagawa-san to dress as Santa? (laughs)
Nakamaru: “I want to drink beer / on the best wood deck / I built!”
I bought the wood deck I wanted for my veranda. Even if I say I built it, I just set it up there, but the result feels quite good. I'm thinking of drinking beer slowly while looking at trees from there.

I'm Kame-biased but I'm really liking the fact that junno's taking a more active role in the group, first taking on choreo for fns, then coming up with Chain, then first draft for this live..this might not be a new thing, but reading how the other members talk about it makes me happy..
Lol at junno being sad at not being able to do gags..and Kame, junno's hair is kind of perfect right now..but I like how he worded it, the bad balance of junno's hair, laughing again at that..
And the first thought that came to mind when I saw that pic of kame and ueda on top of junno and yuichi was 'now we know who tops in KAT-TUN', then I felt like chastising myself for having a weird thoughts..
