Challenge to the very extreme limit
KAT-TUN’s new song, “TO THE LIMIT”, has been released. This song is also used for a car CM they appear themselves, and it’s a song that is full of manliness. As single, it has a content that’s a challenging attack. So of course we asked about the new song to the five people that keep walking forward to the limit, but also asked about their present real feelings.
TAGUCHI JUNNOSUKE
“In the drama I eat remembering my old fierceness, keeping my stomach empty beforehand (laughs)”
The impression that you’re eating really happily on “Legal High” (Fuji TV) is very strong. Are you normally like that? (Kanagawa prefecture, 18 years, girl)
J: Normally I don’t eat at all. Even when I recently went to eat out with Kanjani8’s Yokoyama-kun and Shibutani-kun I was said “Even though in the past you ate so much more~”. For the drama I keep my stomach empty and go [to the filming place], and eat remembering my old fierceness (laughs).
The radio program you are the only personality in, “Taguchi Junnosuke’s TAG-TUN DRIVING” (Tokyo FM) started in April. Is doing a radio program alone difficult? (Osaka prefecture, 21 years, woman)
J: I’m already used to it, because I’m enjoying it talking about drive spots. I like to talk to begin with.
The tour safely ended. Is there an episode you felt the connection between the members? (Kyoto prefecture, 19 years, woman)
J: The first meeting. This time stuff that started from the members are more than usual. We could become the main axis of this tour.
When do you want us to listen to the new song “To the limit”? (Kanagawa prefecture, 17 years, woman)
J: When you want to rise the tension. The song itself is rock, so more than listening to it when you’re down, [doing it] during happy times it’s like you make the tension rise faster. Overcome the limit meter!
TANAKA KOKI
“Something like a ballad. I think it would be OK if I did it next time”.
I love Tanaka-kun’s raps! There’s a music field you want to try to challenge next time? (Saitama prefecture, 29 years, woman)
K: Something like a ballad. I’m thinking it would be OK if I did it next time. Regarding the solo song, I’ve already written it though. It took quite a lot of time. What kind of song? Look forward to it after it has been announced (laughs).
Tanaka-kun, please tell us a recent happening about your body. (Fukushima prefecture, 174 ears, woman)
K: I lost 5 kg. Since I’m doing it as if I’m gonna die, [my training] isn’t a helpful reference (laughs). I run 30 minutes, I do 2-3 hours of muscle training, run 30 minutes, have a 30-min-long sauna. Doing this for 3 weeks, I’ve lost 5 kg in 2 weeks.
You have many interests, what are you mostly interested right now? (Fukuyama prefecture, 17 years, woman)
K: The Oregon Vortex where it’s said the magnet field is distorted; the Palenque stone coffin where on the coffin lid is carved an image similar to a person flying in the space; the “St. Joseph’s staircase” that doesn’t crumble down even though it’s a spiral staircase without prop. I want to go and visit these three things.

K: When you’re in the mood “If I’m an adult, ok, today let’s drink till the limit!” (laughs)

Congratulations for your leading role in “Ore Ore” movie. It seems you can act many “me”, but what’s the “me” that’s in KAT-TUN? (Aomori prefecture, 22 years, woman)
K: I, I do…n’t know (laughs). There are many “me” depending on the job, I think.

K: “I was unexpectedly acting cool more than I thought” (laughs). When I act I do it trying not to fit too much into a pattern in many different moments, but I realized that normally I was moving to be cool.

K: I sleep. Now due to filming I almost never can be at home when the sun is in the sky. Or better, I come back home when the sun is rising (laughs). Later than 4am.

K: I don’t do it often now, but when I was at Kisarazu for a location I bought clams and I had grilled clams at home!

U: About the “boxing” part, since I normally do it, there isn’t a new feeling. But related to the acting, I look forward to what new me will appear. I’m thinking about the character now!
Please tell us the first impression you had the first time you met Kanjani 8’s Maruyama Ryuhei-kun, who acts with you in this drama! (Miyagi prefecture, 21 years, woman)
U: “He looks a very kind person”. Among Kanjani8 he had the image of having a kind demeanor, and he truly is.
I really like the songs Ueda-kun’s composes. Please tell us the art [you use when] writing a song! (Wakayama prefecture, 15 years old, woman)
U: If there’s something floating inside my mind, playing the piano it will come to surface. It’s a sensation, so I don’t know the specific art…

N: During live broadcasts, before the real take and after the real take starts. But I try to lose it immediately as much as I can.
The progresses in Nakamaru-kun’s beat box, the beat box while playing the harmonica, were very shocking! Isn’t the breathing difficult? I was really moved by that amazing technique! (Hyogo prefecture, 29 years, woman)
There are many secrets about that! (laughs) I have always thought since many years ago that I wanted to do beat box and harmonica together but I have never done it, but this year I thought I wanted to do something different. I did it in the second half of the tour.
In this year’s concerts CHAIN you went on a CHAIN balloon. Did you overcome your fear of heights? (Hyogo prefecture, 15 years old, woman)
N: No, I’m [still] scared. “It trembles, it is very high, and what if the gas inside the balloon goes out…!?”, thinking stuff like this it’s very scary, but since I enjoyed the moment I’m glad I did it.

N: Let’s see… When you feel your spirit is negative, listen to it and become positive. When I listen to this song my mood improves too.

“KAPPEI”’s gag manga. It’s the story of a young man that was indicated as the Savior for the moment the world will be destroyed, but dangers to the world didn’t arrive so he now lives a normal life. It’s totally a parody of “Hokuto no ken”, it’s very fun! I want it to become a live action~
Tanaka Koki
“Shameless Purple Haze “, the novel from “Jojo’s bizarre adventures”. It’s a story with protagonist the character called Fugo who appeared in my favourite series of the manga, Vento Brando [Ogon no Kaze], it’s very cool. The novel freely rewrites it from the start, reading it is veeery fun.
Ueda Tatsuya
I want to watch the movie “Snow White”. Even saying it’s a children’s story made into live action it doesn’t seems a peaceful story, and I’m interested in seeing how it was created. I’ve seen just the preview, but now it’s the movie I’m interested in most and want to watch!
Nakamaru Yuichi
The movie series “Back to the future”. I was said it would be good to take it as reference for the general tension of “Omo ni naitemasu” drama. It has a comedy touch and harmony, there are many hints and the tension is high, it was very fun!
