KAT-TUN will release their new “KUSABI” on 27/11, after 1 year and 9 months. This album, which makes you feel the bond of the new KAT-TUN, will probably become what will bound the relation with the fans stronger than before.

( For me it's something I've done only with the members. This is why I think it's a place I must keep dear, and I can't even think of not having it anymore right now. I'm thinking once again that, as expected, my base is here. )

Jokes aside, the photoshoot is very cute, but they talk about the PV and album backstage so it should be interesting for everyone! Highlights:
-Title of the tour (which seems is officially “KAT-TUN”, not “Countdown 2013”) and Junno's role in creating the live structure :D
-Kusabi PV took more than one day!
-What's KAT-TUN's linchpin (kusabi)!

The magazine has also an interview to Kame that I haven't translated (thus the (KAT-TUN part) I added in the title).

NOTE BEFORE READING: “Kusabi” literally means “wedge/linchpin”, but it's also used to indicate a strong bond or tie between people, not so differently from “kizuna”, thus the whole wordplay in the crosstalk.

KAT-TUN will release their first album after becoming four members, “Kusabi”. During the talk and the greatly coordinated posing for the camera, the “kizuna=kusabi” [bond=linchpin] born from being together for so many years is clearly strong. We have expectations from this new KAT-TUN!

( It's after a long time, and it's the first time for us to both hold a concert as four members and have an independent countdown concert. It'll be a special live, in many meanings. )

With this entry I stop translating manuals :) It has been two years (since June 2011 :O I'm quite a faithful translator~ ~~they should have hired me lol~~) and it was fun :) Since August 2013 a new J-Web service has started and there are official English translations for the boys' entries (read here). If you speak enough Japanese to read Japanese Hyphens’ tweets, you’ve surely seen that in the last months they are being quite active: writing to TV stations to let KAT-TUN have a program, or write to radio or FC for the tour and similar.

One of their biggest projects so far is trying to have a DVD/Bluray of DREAM BOYS; they are basically spamming the fanclub with postcards requests.
It seems (from what I read from their tweets, so I don’t know the details) that SHOCK, Koichi’s butai, has a DVD release this year after 4 years because FC received lots of requests from fans, so KAT-TUN fans are trying to do the same with DREAM BOYS (because dream boys has no DVD since 2007). I remember you that DBS 2011 had not only Kame but also Koki and Nakamaru, therefore you might want to join this project too, even if not Kame fan.

Chatting with some of the Japanese fans, we came to conclusion that, despite most of us foreigner hyphens speak English and not Japanese, sending requests even in English wouldn’t be such bad, on the contrary it might be a good appeal since we could emphasize the fact we have just DVD to see the stage plays and well, more postcards, more possibility of success ^__^
I also saw that someone was translating how to do it into English for international fandom on Twitter (Muffy, here: http://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1rl5pst ), and I also saw that there may be someone who wants to help and try this out, so here I basically translated what Jp fans are doing and wrote a small tutorial if you want to do it too. :D

I guess you can do it all together during fan gathering and stuff :D

I was looking for interviews about FtF single and this time around Ori-Sta hasn't an interview with the whole group T__T But they did interview Kame and he talks about KAT-TUN and FtF quite a lot. ^O^
I actually decided to translate this for one specific reason, that is, because I casually noticed the line “I respect the members” while I was skimming through interviews. It hit me and went back to read the whole thing; I thought I’d be nice to share it since his words are very deep. It's a nice way to celebrate Bem Movie DVD release ^o^

Also, other highlights, are the many music suggestions he gives; of course about the movie Ore Ore; his image he wanted to destroy with this movie; he talks about Udine a bit; there’s a small mention of Arashi’s MatsuJun too. Then, a lot about KAT-TUN!

I found the crosstalk pretty cute (especially the mirror part xD), so here it is. I also wanted to share something about FACE to Face (this single deserves more love .__.), but I couldn't find scans from last group Orista or Gekkan Songs... :/ ~~If you have them please feel free to throw them at me xD~~

So, here we have lots of Junnolove (from members to Junno, and from Junno to himself xD), some troll (especially towards Kame), "what would you do if there was another you" and a short talk about future tour.

KAT-TUN’s new song “FACE to Face” is on sale. Related to the movie “It’s Me, It’s Me” which Kamenashi Kazuya stars in and which the song is the theme song of, the five of them talk about “my style”.
( Taguchi is the type that could live forever in the movie’s “Ore-Yama” world. I guess Koki would be the first starting the elimination. )

I *really* love this song ♥ and I really think the lyrics fit the movie theme a lot!
I thought someone might like to know what they're singing, since it's related to the movie, so I gave it a try and wrote down the lyrics. ^_^

I did it myself. Writing down song lyrics isn't my specialty, there are some points I am not really sure (italics) so please avoid copying & pasting it around the web before some official lyrics pop up and I can correct it ^^'' If you have suggestions, you're welcome!

Oricon announced EXPOSE obtained #1 spot in the weekly chart. It's the 20th single and they are the second group obtaining #1 spot since debut for 20 consecutive singles after Kinki kids (32)!
Congratulations, KAT-TUN!!! May there be many more #1s to come. ♥

Since my previous post spreaded more than I imagined when I wrote it, I think I must celebrate too :)

I am very happy and touched that my previous post reached many fans' hearts! As expected, Hyphens are great! ♥ Didn't betray my expectations.

As I wrote in many replies, my main message wasn't "buy Expose because we're in danger" (well, that was implied), but it was "If you've never done it before, from now on please buy their singles, stop just downloading".

I strongly believe that the main way to show we're appreciating their songs and efforts is buying the products. Do you like their lives? Then you buy the concert DVD, right? Then same goes for singles and albums: do you like their rock song? Then you buy it, at least one version, to show you like their choice and the project behind.

This is particularly true for international fans. Most of us don't live in Japan to send them fanletters, or attend their tours buying tickets and goods, or watch TV to pimp the TV program audience share when they're performing. We have just this method to show we are appreciating them as artists... and we also have to be grateful that present technology allows us to buy CDs and DVDs even from the other side of the planet!
So the question isn't "why buy?" but "why not buy?".

Numbers themselves aren't everything

But #1 is the actual proof of KAT-TUN and fans' bond, therefore I wish international fans finally take a step further and start taking part actively to make this bond shine. It's the CHAIN with the boys ^_^

Thank you all for commenting to the previous post, sharing it around the web, agreeing with what I wrote, buying the single (←Have I suddenly become their manager? lol)! Let's continue supporting KAT-TUN together! Many many beautiful singles are waiting ahead! Let's make them the 21st, 22nd, 23rd... consecutive #1!

Hey out there! Long time no see :) it's a lot of time you don't see me posting something that isn't a translation, so you must have already guessed that what I am about to write here is quite important.

If you haven't done it yet, please, *BUY EXPOSE SINGLE*.
You have probably already watched the PV, the making, the jackets on the net. Now I ask you to really, practically support KAT-TUN.

Why am I writing this? You know I am living in Japan right now. I assure you that J-Storm is making zero promotion for this single. On the contrary, our rival, an AKB48 girl, had a handshake event, around 7 versions of the single, her posters are EVERYWHERE around Tokyo and she's slightly catching up KAT-TUN sold copies total. She's too close. I believe in our boys but this doesn't allow us to just leech without supporting.

The #1 record is kept only if KAT-TUN are #1 for the WEEKLY chart, NOT the first day as many think.
Right now, KAT-TUN need their hyphens.
This is their 20th single, they're aiming to break a new record after KinKi Kids (who are currently the holders of the World record). You don't want to let them lose it, right?! If they lose now, they have to start from the beginning once again. And it means losing 6 years of efforts. Said it in a cruel way, they won't obtain this record anymore.

A Regular edition is just 1000 Yen. It's like 8 €, a bit more than 10 $. A dinner out with friends. Show them some love buying the original version! They deserve it! (and possibly do it before Sunday, since online purchases take some days to be counted...)
Buy it for yourself, or buy it as a present for your friends to make them know KAT-TUN!

The reason I translate interviews - and videos, like I have translated KAT-TUN's zettai manetakunaru TV or the making ofs till now - for free (because no one is paying me), is because I want them to be popular and known all around the world, and I want to help the fans. I am doing this for free, so please, if you don't want to do it for them or J-Storm or whatever, do this for me ;_; don't waste my efforts in helping KAT-TUN and YOU ALL, letting them going down. I translate makings because I want to help who bought the copy to understand what they're saying.

I want to believe that this CHAIN really exists. I want to believe that my translating for fandom for free has a meaning, that being a HYPHEN has a meaning. Don't betray my expectations now!
